The season to kick back and relax is Summer, and it is the best season to just enjoy being outside, but it’s definitely not the case on your skincare routine. The radiations from the Sun are super strong all year long, but never stronger than in summer when exposure levels are higher there will be a considerable effect on our skin. That’s why it’s important to focus on our skin care routine – to keep it moisturized as possible and protected from the sun. It can be tough to know where to start when switching over your products for a new season, so I thought to share my 5 best tips for keeping skin healthy during the summer.

  • Give a great importance to your face care

Summer months need a special skin care routine and light makeup, so it’s important to take a good care of our skin first (removing make up with suitable cleanser – it is better to put on a foaming gel cleanser enriched with calcium-rich water, and applying morning moisturizer cream), before we apply beauty products. I try to keep it minimal when it comes to makeup, but before applying makeup products I like to use moisturizing and quality products for the skin care first, and keep using it all summer.The products are based on water (the name tells it already), which makes them extra moisturized. Besides that, they make your face super fresh.


  • Use lightweight products

The general routine which includes thick creams which we have been using through the winter months won’t do any good to us now. Pack them away or use them for very dry areas of your body like the feet. In Summer season months we need skin care products that let your skin breathe naturally go for lighter lotions, creams and serums Products that block pores can cause more problems, we suggest to go high on water and water-based moisturizers work best for normal skin types. For oily skin, gel-based moisturizers are preferred.

We can even cut a strawberry, mash the flesh to bring out juices and wipe it across face in small circles. Also, lemon and tomato are very good to keep your skin fresh.

  • Scrub your face often
